Lee County New Construction Permits Up

Lee County New ConstructionDuring March, Lee County New Construction permits for single-family homes increased up to 151 from 126 permits pulled last month.  Collectively the permits pulled for the month were worth about $35.8 million, according to the Lee County Department of Community Development. Also, during March, six multi-family units valued at about $614,000 were permitted, compared to 40 units in February 2018 and 48 units in March 2017. General commercial activity was valued at about $13.9 million for 19 permits, compared to about $28.8 million in February 2018 and about $4.2 million in March 2017. In all, Lee County Community Development issued 5,773 permits of all kinds in March.
