Mortgage rates still low

Mortgage Rates Still Historically Low

mortgageMortgage rates for a 30 year fixed mortgage fell from 4.23 percent to 4.14 percent this week. A year ago, the mortgage rate was 3.71 percent.

And, if you compare today’s mortgage rates to the all time low of 3.31 percent in November of 2012, rates are still historically very low.

What was the all time high? Unbelievably, the all time high was 18.63 percent in October of 1981.

So, although rates are steadily rising, they are still historically low.  Frankly, it’s cheap to borrow money right now. If you are considering buying a home, now is a great time.

Bottom Line:

When you are ready to take advantage of the low interest rates and buy a golf condo or home in southwest Florida, let me be your guide.  You will find buying a home in our area is more complex than a typical home purchase.  For example, condos have multiple fees and assessments that are not always obvious.  Also, if you have pets, there are almost always restrictions on what type of pets you can have and how big your pet can be. Finally, demographics vary significantly in each community.

Not only will I help you find the home of your dreams, I’ll handle all the negotiations to make your real estate transaction as effortless as possible.
