March Housing Update

March Housing Update for Lee County

The Lee County March housing update showed there was more than $1.275 Billion in properties closed during March, up from $731 Million last year. Similar to January and February, pending sales for both single family homes and condos showed significant increases over the same time last year.

Due to the significant increases in closed and pending sales, inventory remains a challenge. The number of Lee County homes for sale fell more than 72 percent versus March of last year. Property prices continue to trend upwards due to the lack of inventory in Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers.

Additionally, sellers are getting close to list price for their homes and in some cases, more than list price. As a result, it remains a seller’s market.

So, if you are considering selling, you are in the driver’s seat. Contact us today to learn about your home’s value in today’s market. It may be more than you realize.

Similar to Naples and other areas of the country, we continue to see a shortage in inventory. However, unlike last month, new listings increased during the month. If you are considering buy a home, we’ll help provide you with all the market information needed to submit a compelling offer to give you the best chance to win the deal.
